Guide to Credit Cards - Protection

Protection

Paying by credit card can give useful protection against faulty goods. If the goods cost between £100 and £30,000 then the credit card company is equally responsible for any claim you have against the retailer. This can be particularly useful if the retailer has gone out of business and can't deal with your complaint itself. As with most consumer issues it makes sense to deal with the retailer in the first instance since your contract is with them.
