Please remember, if your branch is closing you can still manage your personal and business account(s) through any Ulster Bank branch, regardless of where your account is held.

There are also a number of other ways you can still manage your account directly, anytime and anywhere. These include:

If you have any questions on any of these services, our staff will be happy to help you.

For more information on how this may affect you, please refer to our FAQs on branch closures and relocations. Alternatively, you can speak to our staff in any Ulster Bank branch.

If my account is in one of these branches, what will happen?

You will receive a letter advising you that your branch is closing and that your account is transferring to an alternative branch. You can continue to avail of branch banking services at any Ulster Bank branch in addition to the many other channels by which you can bank with us (internet, telephone and mobile apps).

What do I need to do?

You do not need to take any action. If you use safe-keeping or night-safe facilities in any of the impacted branches we will contact you so that arrangements can be made to transfer this service to the branch that your account is being transferred to.

Will my account numbers/sort codes change?

No, your account numbers and sort codes will not change; however you will see your new branch name start to appear on correspondence and chequebooks. You do not need to update any payees, DD originators etc. Once the account is transferred, you should quote the new branch address when setting up any new payments.

When will I be told of these changes?

You will be advised through in-branch posters from late July and also a letter advising you of details of the closure will be mailed to your correspondence address. There will also be adverts in the local press.

Will you be closing more branches?

We continue to review our operating model to reflect the changing ways in which our customers prefer to bank with us.

The branch my accounts are being transferred to is not convenient, can I change to a different branch?

You can continue to use our full range of services and carry out all your banking at any Ulster Bank branch, regardless of which branch your account is held at. This means you can use whichever branch is most convenient to you and it does not make any difference which branch your account is held in.
