Anytime Internet Banking - Common Questions
The simple, convenient and secure way of using your accounts online - anytime, anywhere.
Who can bank online?
To sign up you need to be aged 11 or over and have an Ulster Bank current account, credit card, savings account or loan.
What happens when you sign-up?
We'll give you a Customer Number. Keep this safe - you'll need it every time you log in.
If you enter your debit card details when you sign up, you can in many cases receive instant access to your accounts, which means you can check up to the minute balances and transactions as well as transfer money between your Ulster Bank accounts straight away.
If you don't have a debit card, we'll send you an Activation Code by post that you'll receive within 4 to 7 working days. You'll need this Activation code to access the full online banking service.
What is a card reader?
The Anytime Banking Card Reader is a device which uses your Debit card and your PIN to add an extra layer of security when doing certain transactions online.
What is Rapport (software)?
Rapport is security software from the experts at Trusteer. We offer this software free to Anytime Banking customers. Rapport checks that you are using our genuine website and not a fake. It locks down the link between you and our Anytime Banking service so potential fraudsters can't intercept it and helps block viruses that target online banking.
Rapport doesn't replace your existing Anti Virus software but works with it as an extra layer of security.
