Payments to an Ulster Bank Credit Card

Below are the different ways that an Ulster Bank Credit Card bill can be paid, and the time to allow for each payment method.
Payment method Time to allow
Direct Debit
  • Payment is claimed 25 calendar days from statement date or shortly afterwards.
  • Payments made using Direct Debit from an Ulster Bank current account will receive value on your credit card on the Business Day that the money is paid from your current account; the funds will be available for withdrawal the following day. Payments made from another bank's current account will receive value on your credit card on the Business Day that we receive the funds from the other bank and be available the following day.
Ulster Bank Anytime Internet and Telephone Banking
  • Immediate payments will reach your account in 2 hours.
  • Please allow 3 working days from the scheduled payment date for future dated payments to be available.
Other banks' Online and Telephone Banking services
  • Please allow 3 Business Days for the payment to reach your account.
At any branch of Ulster Bank
  • Cash payment will reach your account in 2 hours.
  • For all other payments you will receive value on your credit card after 3 Business Days and the funds will be available on your account on the next Business Day after that.
If paying by cheque, funds must be cleared before payment is accepted.
At a branch of any other bank
  • If paying by cash or cheque at any other bank please allow 4 Business Days for the payment to reach your account.
If paying by cheque, funds must be cleared before payment is accepted.
Cheque payments by post
  • Please allow 7 Business Days for the payment to reach your account.
Funds must be cleared before payment is accepted.

Business Days excludes weekends and bank holidays.
