Financial literacy is critical in enabling young people to learn how to manage money and make the most of their financial circumstances. Today’s teenagers are tomorrow’s adults. Their ability to lead financially healthy lives deserves positive and proactive support.

MoneySense has been helping young people towards a better financial future for more than 23 years and the varied content aims to help 5-18 year olds to understand the changing nature of fraud and how they can protect themselves. A range of resources for each age group are available on www.mymoneysense.com including interactives, videos and worksheets.

These resources help teach pupils about money safety in the real world and how to avoid the dangers of fraud in a fun and interactive way. In addition, MoneySense content also looks at a wide range of financial dilemmas including budgeting for a party, choosing a mobile phone contract and understanding when it is important to have insurance.

Teachers can also apply for bank volunteers to come in and support their classroom activities through interactive workshops.
