Employee Well Being

We believe in promoting the health and well-being of our employees at work, but also at home. To attract and retain a motivated team, we have put the following programmes in place to support them to meet the objectives and challenges of their busy working lives.

Flexible working options - 'UB Choice'

Employees are offered flexible options to help them organise their lives outside work, whether they are caring for children or adult dependants, undertaking voluntary work or developing their personal, creative or educational talents. The Ulster Bank (UB) Choice programme promotes and facilitates employees in working flexibly. Options include working from home, part-time working and variable hours.

We are committed to ensuring the appropriate resources and support is available to our employees to help maintain and improve wellbeing.

We provide Occupational Health services to ensure that employees with health conditions receive the specialist support they need. In addition to providing support for those employees who are ill, we have committed to adopting a proactive approach to helping our employees identify and manage health risk.To that end, we recently launched our online Wellbeing Centre and invited employees to register and take part in a voluntary online health assessment - one of the services designed to support early diagnosis as part of a wider programme of health management.
