Green Mortgage

Choose an energy efficient home and get rewarded with a low fixed rate from 2.25%

Why choose a Green Mortgage?

If you want to purchase an energy efficient home, or carry out some energy saving work to your existing property we would love to help. The Green Mortgage has a fixed rate for 4 years and offers a lower rate of interest than our existing 4 year fixed rate mortgage. We will ask you for a copy of the Building Energy Rating (BER) certificate of your property before you take out or switch to a Green Mortgage. To find out more about BER certificates visit the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland website.

At Ulster Bank, we have been supporting Sustainable Energy projects for over 20 years and this year we announced the ambition to be a leading bank in Ireland in addressing the climate challenge. Check out our Sustainability pages to find out more about our Climate strategy and how you can get involved.
