Bankline Support

To see more information about a transaction: 

• Select 'Account information' from the left hand menu, and then 'View account balance'.
• Select the underlined Account ID for the relevant account. 

To print a statement:

• Select Print / Save statement when viewing the statement on screen.
• Select 'Account information' and then 'View account statement' from the left hand menu.
• Select the 'Account ID' of the account you need the statement for or search for an account.

Some banks may refer to your Bank Identification Code (BIC) as a SWIFT code. If you have an Ulster Bank Republic account, your BIC/SWIFT will be: ULSBIE2D.

If you're asked for an 11 character BIC/SWIFT, just add XXX at the end. 

The different balances on display are:

• Last night's ledger - the ledger balance as at the close of the previous business day including all uncleared items.
• Last night's cleared - the ledger balance as at the close of the previous business day excluding all uncleared items.
• Today's ledger - the current ledger balance including all uncleared items plus debit and credit transactions known us.

We're sorry to hear you're thinking of closing your Bankline profile. 

If you want to cancel Bankline, you'll need your Bankline administrator (or two where Dual administration is turned on) to email the our administration team from your registered email address on:

To view, edit, delete or suspend other Bankline users, you'll need to have administrative privileges.

From 'Administration', select 'Manage Users', then select the relevant User ID.

First, check the user's status on the 'Manage Users' screen. If they have the status 'disabled',  it means they're locked out of Bankline and need re-activating.

To help them regain access you can use the following options:

To reactivate a user (re-instating their current PIN and password)

1. From the manage users screen select the User ID
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Reinstate user', followed by 'Confirm'
3. If your organisation uses dual administration you may need a second administrator to approve this
4. The user can then log in with their existing password

To reactivate a user who's forgotten their current PIN and password

1. From the manage users screen select the User ID
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Order new activation code', followed by 'Confirm'
3. If your organisation uses dual administration you may need a second administrator to approve this
4. Once confirmed, the user will immediately receive an activation code by email, which they can use to create a new password to log in (they'll also need to create a PIN for use with some additional Bankline services - this is not the same as your smartcard PIN)

If your organisation has enabled the automated PIN/Password reset, users can order a new activation code from the Bankline login screen, as long as they know their existing Bankline user email address.

If you're seeing this message, it's most likely because there's an issue with your login details up to this point.

Problems with logging in are often due to a saved or old link, so try changing that first. The correct link is  http://www.ulsterbank.ie/Bankline

If you've locked your account but you still know your log in password, your administrator can reinstate your access. Once they've done this, you'll be able to carry on using the same log in details.

To reset your password follow these steps.

• On the log in page, where you enter your password, click the 'request an activation code' link.*
• Enter your email address (the one that your adminstrator set you up with on Bankline)** 
• Wait 30 minutes to receive your activation code, remember to check your spam folder in case its landed in there Log in again using your Customer ID, User ID, activation code and smartcard. You'll then be asked to create new login details. To reset your password follow these steps:

• Enter your email address (the one that your adminstrator set you up with on Bankline)** 
• Wait 30 minutes to receive your activation code, remember to check your spam folder in case its landed in there.
• Log in again using your Customer ID, User ID and activation code. You'll then be asked to create new login details*If you can't see the link, or you can't click on it, contact your Bankline administrator. They can send you an activation code. They also have the option to turn on the 'automated PIN/password reset', so you can reset it yourself in future.
  

** If your email address isn't recognised, you'll need your administrator to check and update this. I'm trying to request an activation code but it won't accept my email address, what should I do?

Tips for once you have your activation code

Passwords must be 6-20 characters with at least one number and one letter, but no special characters. They aren't case sensitive PINs (used for additional Bankline services - this is not your smartcard PIN) must be four digits. You can't use ascending or descending number sequences or have the same number more than twice in a row. Your activation code is made up of 10 digits. You'll enter the first five digits in one box and the second in another.

To ensure you're viewing the most up to date version of a web page, you may need to clear your temporary internet files and cookies. For example, if a page isn't displaying correctly this could be due to older information that's been stored in cookies.

If you’re logging into Bankline for the first time, you’ll receive an activation code by email. If you can't see the email, don't forget to check your junk folder just in case. If you still haven't received it or need a new one, you'll need to speak to your Bankline administrator (this is likely to be the person in your business who set up you up on Bankline).

We ask that you dispose of your Bankline QR reader(s) and smartcard in an environmentally friendly way. There is a battery in your Bankline QR reader, all waste batteries are classed as hazardous waste and should not be put in your household bin. Recycling them correctly is the preferred option. You may find details of your local battery recycling options on www.weeeireland.ie.
