Option 1:

If you received a cheque from us and it remains in date, i.e. it is less than 6 months since date of issue, you can lodge the cheque to your account with your new financial provider. 

Option 2: If for any reason you are unable to lodge your cheque, for example, the cheque has expired, you have lost your cheque or you did not receive a cheque from us, please phone us;

Option 3: If you would like to donate the value of your unclaimed funds to one of our chosen charities, you can find the details at www.ulsterbank.ie/charitydonations. Please email us at CharityDonation@ulsterbank.com and we will arrange the donation for you. 

If you have received a cheque, the email should include the name of the payee as detailed on the cheque, the amount of the cheque, the serial number of the cheque and your chosen charity. 

If you did not receive a cheque and your account was a current or deposit account, the email should include the sort code and account number of your closed account, the amount to be donated and your chosen charity. 

If your account was a credit card, you can request your credit balance be donated to charity by contacting the Card Centre on 0818 210 261 (lines open 24 hours a day including Bank Holidays; if phoning from outside the Republic of Ireland call +44 1702 275524).

If the minor named on the closed account is under 7, the parent/guardian(s) named on the closed account must provide their details to complete a reclaim or advise of a donation to charity.

If the closed account holder is under 18 and a parent/guardian was named on the closed account, they must also provide their details to complete a reclaim or advise of a donation to charity.

If the former account holder is under 18 and the closed account was in sole name, a parent/guardian may be required to provide their details to complete a reclaim or advise of a donation to charity.

Yes, a third party may be able to reclaim your money on your behalf depending on your personal circumstances. A balance reclaim form will need to be completed along with supporting documentation. We will advise what documents are needed to support the claim when you contact us. All parties (You and your representatives) will be required to provide certified photographic identification and address verification.

Documents can be certified by the secure personalised link sent to your email address.

If you are identified as a beneficial owner of the trust i.e. a future beneficiary, we will send you a notice letter when your funds have been transferred to Ulydien Trust Company Limited.  The Notice letter will advise you of actions you need to take and how you can submit a reclaim for funds held in the trust.
