All you need to know about managing your credit card

Manage your credit card simply and safely with Anytime Banking and your Mobile App

  • If you have misplaced your MasterCard credit card, you can lock and unlock it on the app.
  • Take control of your spending by locking/ unlocking certain transaction types or setting a daily/ monthly spending budget. MasterCard credit cards only.
  •  You can now choose to block gambling transactions on your credit card, giving you more control of your credit card spending. MasterCard credit cards only.
  •  View your last 3 years statements.
  •  Request a pin reminder or unblock your pin
  • Register your travel plans

  • Set up and manage regular payments, including paying your credit card
  • View your balance and transactions
  • View up to seven years of credit card statements
  • Report your card lost/stolen
  • Order a replacement card

Fees and charges

A credit card has many benefits but to get the best from it, you need to be organised with your monthly payments otherwise you could end up paying fees and charges.

There are two main fees you need to know about. Both of these fees are €8.50.

  • Late payment fee - if you're late paying your monthly bill
  • Over limit fee - if you go over your credit limit

Here are some tips on how to avoid paying charges and interest on your credit card:

Using your card abroad

Going on holiday, or taking a business trip? Your credit card can be a safe and convenient payment method to make transactions abroad.

Our credit cards are widely accepted at millions of overseas retailers and cash machines. To use your credit card, just look for the Visa and MasterCard logos in retailers or on cash machines next time you are abroad, then use your card as normal.

Transferring a balance

If you have other credit or store cards, you might find that you’ll save money by moving these balances onto your credit card. To do this, please print and complete the following form and post it to:

The amount that we can process will depend on the allocated credit limit. If your credit limit is insufficient to process all your requests, we will action them in the order in which you have provided them. You can transfer up to 95% of your credit limit (min. €100). You may not transfer the balance from another NatWest Group credit card.

Add another cardholder

You can add your spouse, partner or close friend to your credit card via Anytime Internet Banking. Additional cardholders must be 18 years old or over. Alternatively, please contact your local Ulster Bank branch.

We may need some further documentation for the additional cardholder before we can issue another card. We'll write to you at your home address asking for this if applicable.
