Account types at a glance

Instant Access

  • You control your savings, letting you manage your account whenever and wherever you need to.
  • Instant access to your savings online, via the app, by phone or in branch.
  • Suitable for lump sums.
  • Make additional lodgements whenever you like.
  • Make a withdrawal whenever you need to without any penalties.

Regular Savings

  • Regular savings account with instant access online, via the app*, by phone or in branch.
  • Save each month by standing order.
  • Make withdrawals whenever you need to.
  • Change the amount you are saving at any time.

*Available on most smartphones to customers with Anytime Internet Banking and a Republic of Ireland or international mobile number in specific countries. 

Fixed Term Deposit

  • Funds are placed on deposit for a fixed period of time and at a fixed rate of interest.
  • You are unable to lodge additional funds during the term.
  • Access at term maturity.
  • Gross interest* is calculated on a 360 day basis.
  • Interest is paid at the end of the term.
  • You may be able to get access to your money before the end of the agreed term in exceptional circumstances, this may incur a loss of interest.  Details of this are available here

You need to register for Anytime Banking to be able to access your funds and manage your account online or over the telephone. If you prefer not to register for Anytime Banking you can still manage your account through the branch.

Tax on interest earned - All returns are subject to Deposit Interest Retention Tax (DIRT). Under current legislation, the effective DIRT rate is 33%.
