Online fraud is on the rise. Scammers are getting smarter and more sophisticated in how they try to access your personal details – and your money.
In September 2019, to comply with the new Payment Service Directive 2 (PSD2) we introduced an extra layer of protection for you online. We implemented Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) – which meant asking you to confirm your identity more often when you go to buy something online with your card or use Anytime or Mobile Banking and this means that we’ll know it’s definitely you using your details.
This technology continues to evolve, and we will continue to take the necessary steps in order to help reduce fraud and keep you safe.
